Yes, you will have to physically attend DrupalCon on 24 and 25 September 2024 in Barcelona to be eligible to play in the game show.
As this event will be a live session running in real time to allow a competitive and fair playing field for all contestants to complete the tasks.
Unfortunately, as this is a live event, you need to be at the event in person as the game show will not run remotely. See FAQ1.
If you have registered and are drawn as a contestant, but unable to attend (even for any last-minute circumstances), we will draw another contestant who can make it in person for the game show.
No, you don’t need to know any coding. CivicTheme is a low/no code design system and will not require any technical development or coding for the event.
You only need a basic understanding of Drupal and how to manage content, Drupal administrative experience is a bonus.
If you need additional information about how to use CivicTheme please see the Learn about CivicTheme section.
If you know how to use Drupal, you’ll quickly (and intuitively) work out how CivicTheme functions. That said, this is a competition with a limited time to complete the task/s and you’ll need all your skills to create a winning entry.
So, although you won’t need training on CivicTheme specifically (and depending on your level of Drupal knowledge and experience) we do recommend you get familiar with the CivicTheme basics, please see the Learn about CivicTheme section.
No, unfortunately this is an event with four contestants competing individually. We may review this condition on a case-by-case basis if needed.
