The DrupalCon's Got Talent: Barcelona CivicTheme game show session has the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms before agreeing to participate in the game show event.

These terms and conditions apply to the DrupalCon's Got Talent: Barcelona CivicTheme game show hosted by Salsa Digital.

By entering this event, participants agree to conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful to other participants, judges, organisers and any other individuals involved in the administration of this session event. 

  1. Organising body: The DrupalCon's Got Talent: Barcelona CivicTheme game show is a presentation session hosted by Salsa Digital that’s being run at the DrupalCon Barcelona 2024 event.
     
  2. Session format: The presentation session will be run as an interactive game show format. Salsa Digital has sole discretion in the organising and running of this session in accordance with the DrupalCon event guidelines. 

    The aim of the game show session is for participants to conduct a task as directed by the session organisers using the CivicTheme design system during the game show session on the day. All participants will be given instructions on what they need to do and be given access to a technical environment, preloaded with CivicTheme and all the assets needed to complete the task. 

    Participants will need to supply their own device to access the game show environment. No pre-prepared material or assets can be used in the game show session.
     
  3. Eligibility criteria: Anyone attending the DrupalCon Barcelona event can register to participate in the game show session. However, this is an individual event and only one person per entry will be accepted. Salsa Digital has the right to review this if needed on a case by case basis. You must be able to attend the game show session in person on the second day of the event, being 4.00pm CET Wednesday 25 September 2024 to participate. Participants will need to bring their own hardware device to access the game show environment. Salsa Digital or partner employees will not be allowed to participate in the event.
     
  4. Entry procedures: All applicants must register on the DrupalCon's Got Talent: Barcelona CivicTheme game show event website (www.civictheme.io/gameshow(Opens in a new tab/window)) before 12pm Tuesday 24 September CET to have a chance at being selected to participate in the game show. There are no fees or prerequisites for entering the game show and only one registration per entrant will be accepted. Registration will be accepted by simply completing the webform on the game show event website: www.civictheme.io/gameshow(Opens in a new tab/window)
     
  5. Participant selection: Only four (4x) registered applicants will be selected to participate in the CivicTheme game show. These four participants will be selected at random on the first day of the event, Tuesday 24 September at 1pm CET at the event venue. Selected contestants will be emailed with a confirmation. Contestants who are notified must then confirm their registration to participate on the first day of the event, Tuesday 24 September at the Drupal Association booth at the event. Participants must also be able to attend the event in person on the second day of the event, Wednesday September between 4pm and 4.45pm to participate in the game show session in person. If selected participants fail to register or confirm their registration of participation they will not be participating and another application will be selected until 4 confirmed participants are available and confirmed to participate in the game show session.
     
  6. Fair play: All participants must participate in the session in a fair and honest manner. Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or other dishonest behaviour is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
     
  7. Respectful communication: All interactions, whether with fellow participants, judges or organisers, should be conducted respectfully and politely. Harassment, bullying, discrimination or any form of abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.
     
  8. Compliance with rules: All participants must fully comply with all game show rules and guidelines as outlined in the terms and conditions. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
     
  9. Judging the winner: All contestants will need to complete the task to qualify for a prize. The panel of expert judges from the community will select a winner based on the homepage that: best meets the brief, is creatively executed, and user-focused. It will be up to the panel of judges as to which entries are placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. The judges’ decision will be final. If there is a stalemate, a Salsa Digital representative will make the final decision if required.
     
  10. Prizes: Prizes will be Visa cash gift cards to the value of: 1st place €150 EUR, 2nd place €100 EUR, 3rd place €75 EUR, 4th place €50 EUR. These will be given to the contestants at the game show event. The Visa cards cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred to anyone –  however the contestants can simply give the cash gift card to anyone they want!
     
  11. Intellectual property rights: Although CivicTheme is open source, any and all entries, submissions, digital artefacts, assets and material produced throughout the game show process are the property of Salsa Digital and can be used by Salsa Digital for future marketing and other communication and promotion purposes. Contestants may request to keep their individual entries private and Salsa Digital will abide by this wish and not use their entry or digital material used upon request.
     
  12. Data protection and privacy: Salsa respects the privacy of all participants and will never sell, trade or give away any personal data to anyone. The website may collect anonymous tracking data, please Salsa’s privacy policy(Opens in a new tab/window). Participants’ registration data will be collected on the game show event site via a Drupal webform and retained in the database until the game show is run during the event. After this date all webform data will be removed from the database. Salsa Digital may use the data for marketing purposes. If participants have indicated to receive communications from Salsa Digital, they will have the option to opt out.
     
  13. Liability and indemnities: Salsa Digital is not responsible for entries not received due to technical issues or any other reasons beyond its control. Salsa Digital does not accept liability for any injuries, loss or damage incurred as a result of participating in the game show event or using the prize.
     
  14. Changes to the event and these terms and conditions: Salsa Digital reserves the right to cancel or amend the game show event and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of god, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Salsa Digital’s or the event organiser’s control.
     
  15. Compliance with laws: These terms and conditions shall be governed by Australian law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
